Here are some photos of Rekha Thapa’s visit to Dakshinkali temple on Thursday, April 9, 2015. Rekha’s visit to the temple is at the time she is preparing for the shooting of her upcoming movie ‘Ram Pyari’. The movie will also introduce Rekha’s nephew Aavash Adhikari as the leading actor.
Dakshinkali temple is located 22 km out of Kathamandu and about 1 km from Pharping village. One of the important Goddess temple in Kathmandu is the temple of Goddess Kali. The name Dakshinkali is made up of the location of the temple in the South part of the city and Kali is the name of the goddess. Animal sacrifice, specially goats in the temple have been an issue of controversy among animal rights advocates.
Rekha Thapa’s upcoming movie ‘Ram Pyari’ is a film of underprivileged women in Nepali society. Rekha has been addressing the issues of various problems to women in Nepali society and giving opportunity to the abused women in her film. During the promotion of her movie ‘Tathastu’ Rekha had promised two rape victim girls a role in ‘Ram Pyari’.

After the success of her debut direction, ‘Himmatwali’ Rekha Thapa is encouraged in making director her new identity.
In a latest report, Rekha has decided to direct another movie titled ‘Ram Pyari’. Like other movies of Rekha Films, ‘Ram Pyari’ will also feature Rekha in leading role. There is a chance that ‘Himmatali’ actor Sudarshan Gautam might also repeat in the new movie, but final decision is yet to be made.
The details of other artists and technicians are not finalized yet. The movie is expected to go to floor in Falgun.
